Holistic Trauma Therapy Glendale, AZ

You Don't Have to Spend the Rest of Your Life Managing the Effects of Trauma
You don't just need another therapist who will help you manage symptoms. You may need someone who understands what trauma has done to your whole system and knows how to help you heal it.
If you've experienced trauma, you may find yourself struggling with anxiety, depression, self-criticism, relationship patterns, emotional overwhelm, or feeling disconnected from yourself. You may understand what happened to you intellectually, yet still feel like your mind, body, and nervous system are carrying the weight of it. You don’t have to live this way forever.
Healing from trauma is about more than learning how to cope. It's about creating the safety, self-trust, inner peace, and sense of wholeness you've been longing for.
At Heart Wisdom Healing, I offer holistic trauma therapy from my office in Glendale, Arizona, serving clients throughout the Phoenix Valley, including Glendale, Peoria, Phoenix, and surrounding communities. I also provide secure telehealth throughout Arizona, making it possible to access compassionate, holistic trauma therapy from wherever you are in the state. Together, we look beyond the symptoms to understand the deeper impact of trauma and create a personalized path toward meaningful, lasting healing.
There Is a Way Forward
You don't have to be defined by your past. Healing can help you feel safe, trust yourself again, release shame, and reconnect with who you truly are.
You May Be Carrying More Than You Realize
Trauma doesn't always look the way we expect it to. Sometimes it shows up as anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, relationship struggles, self-doubt, or feeling disconnected from yourself. Other times, you may simply know that you're tired of feeling the way you feel and don't know how to change it.
You may find yourself:
-
Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, or constantly on edge
-
Overthinking everything or struggling to quiet your mind
-
Carrying shame, self-criticism, or a sense that you're somehow not enough
-
Having difficulty trusting yourself, trusting others, or feeling safe in relationships
-
Struggling with boundaries, people-pleasing, or fear of rejection
-
Feeling disconnected, numb, stuck, or unlike the person you used to be
-
Repeating relationship or life patterns you understand intellectually but can't seem to change
-
Wondering why you can understand your experiences but still don't feel healed
If any of this feels familiar, you don't have to figure it all out on your own. There may be deeper reasons for the patterns you're experiencing, and healing is possible.

Why Trauma Healing Often Requires More Than Talk Therapy
Talking about what happened can be an important part of healing, but trauma isn't stored only in your thoughts or memories. It can also affect your emotions, nervous system, body, relationships, sense of safety, and the way you see yourself.
You may understand why you feel anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or stuck and still find yourself reacting in ways you can't simply think your way out of. Knowing something intellectually doesn't always mean your whole system has processed and healed from it.
This Is Where Holistic Trauma Therapy Can Help
IN HOLISTIC INDIVIDUAL THERAPY, WE WILL WORK COLLABORATIVELY TOWARD YOUR GOALS AS I PROVIDE THE COMPASSION, EMPATHY, TRUST, SAFETY, EDUCATION, ENCOURAGEMENT, AND HOPE THAT YOU CAN CREATE THE LIFE YOU DESIRE.
Together, we will explore what may be interfering with the life you want to live while discovering and building upon your strengths. I will support and empower you in gaining greater insight and clarity, developing self-esteem and a stronger sense of identity, and creating the changes you desire in your life.
Rather than focusing only on managing symptoms, we can work toward understanding and healing the deeper wounds and patterns that continue to affect you. You will have the opportunity to integrate different effective interventions to safely process the trauma you have experienced.
Depending on your needs and goals, your therapy may include:
-
EMDR to help you process distressing experiences and memories
-
Somatic and nervous-system practices to help you feel safer and more connected to your body
-
Mindfulness and meditation training to cultivate grounding, presence, and greater awareness
-
Energy-based trauma-informed yoga and movement to support the connection between your mind and body
-
Reiki-assisted therapy to support relaxation, nervous system regulation, balance your energy, and connect you more deeply to yourself for your healing process

By integrating these approaches, therapy can address the many ways trauma has affected your life, not just your thoughts, but also your emotions, body, nervous system, relationships, and sense of self.
This process can move you toward greater healing, closure, and acceptance. The journey can help you regain a sense of meaning and transcendence from the trauma you have experienced. Together, we can work toward a greater sense of wholeness and peace again.
EMDR Therapy in Glendale, AZ & Throughout Arizona
EMDR Therapy: Helping You Process What Trauma Has Left Behind
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is one of the primary methods I use in treating trauma. It is an extensively researched, evidence-based treatment for trauma and PTSD.
Over my years of working with clients, I have experienced some of the most profound transformation through EMDR. It can help you process distressing experiences and memories that may continue to affect how you feel, think, and live.
Through bilateral stimulation, EMDR supports the brain in reprocessing memories that may still feel emotionally overwhelming or unresolved. As these experiences are processed, emotional intensity and triggers can decrease, while new perspectives and a greater sense of freedom can emerge.
Integrative/Holistic Approach
Your Healing Doesn't Have to Follow a Formula
No two people experience trauma in exactly the same way. Your therapy should be as unique as you are.
Together, we will create a personalized approach that may integrate EMDR, somatic therapy, nervous-system practices, mindfulness, meditation, trauma-informed movement, Reiki-Assisted Therapy, and other holistic approaches alongside traditional psychotherapy.
My goal is not to fit you into a particular method. It is to help you discover the tools and approaches that best support your path toward healing, meaning, wholeness, and peace.
Holistic Trauma Therapy: What to Expect
Your First Step
Before beginning therapy, you'll have the opportunity to schedule a free 15–30 minute consultation. This is a chance for us to talk about what you're looking for, answer your questions, and determine whether we feel like a good fit. It's also an opportunity to begin becoming comfortable with me and my approach.
Sometimes simply hearing someone's voice and having a warm conversation can make taking that first step feel a little easier.
If we decide to move forward, we'll schedule your 90-minute initial intake session ($240). During this session, we'll explore your history, current challenges, strengths, and goals for therapy and begin developing a personalized treatment plan and approach.
Ongoing Support & Your Healing Work
Ongoing sessions are 90 minutes at $200 per session. Most clients begin with weekly or biweekly sessions, depending on their needs, goals, and stage of treatment.
Your therapy doesn't end when you leave the session. I believe meaningful healing happens through both the work we do together and the ways you continue to practice and integrate that work between sessions.
When appropriate, I provide personalized resources and practices to support your healing between sessions, which may include:
-
Worksheets and guided exercises
-
Journal prompts and reflection practices
-
Affirmations and personalized healing tools
-
Workbooks and educational resources
-
Somatic and nervous-system practices
-
Mindfulness or grounding exercises
-
At-home practices tailored to your individual goals
These tools give you opportunities to practice what you're learning, build new skills, and continue making progress between sessions.
In-Person or Online
My office is located in Glendale, Arizona, and many clients choose to travel to my office from throughout the Valley including Peoria, Phoenix, and communities in the East Valley to work with me in person.
I also offer secure telehealth throughout Arizona, providing the flexibility to participate in therapy from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
Whether you meet with me in person or online, my goal is to provide a supportive, collaborative space where you can feel safe enough to do meaningful work and be supported throughout your healing journey.
