Humans need community for our emotional health. We need connection and a sense of belonging. We are not built to thrive in isolation.
How Group Therapy Can Support You
I LEAD SEVERAL TYPES OF GROUPS TO FACILITATE COMMUNITY AND CONNECTION.
With group therapy, you can alleviate the sense that you are alone and the only one experiencing problems as you hear others experiencing similar challenges.
In our sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to increase your support system with me as a professional guide to lead the group to learn together and support one another in changes you want to make.

Groups include interactive activities and discussions, handouts, lectures and videos.

What to Expect
Mindfulness
Mindfulness means living in the present moment. It means being more intentionally aware and awake to each moment and being fully engaged in what is happening inside yourself and your surroundings with acceptance and without judgement. Making mindfulness a lifestyle and integrated into your daily life allows you to create the life you want rather than being on autopilot and fosters a sense of peace.
Schedule
Mindfulness groups meet weekly for three months with up to 8-10 people to learn the skills to gain self awareness, manage stress, reduce mental health symptoms and learn how to gain more peace and enjoyment with life. The group is primarily educational and will include opportunities to practice different mindfulness skills and practices during the group. Each group member is given a mindfulness journal to use during the group process and continue to use after the group is completed.
Other Types of Support
I also lead a DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) skills group that meets weekly for six months to learn the foundational coping skills that includes mindfulness as well as skills to manage your emotions, crisis situations, and skills to improve your relationships and communication with others.
