I’M JENNIFER KIZER, MA LPC HOLISTIC THERAPIST (LICENSED PROFESSIONAL COUNSELOR)

I have been working in the field since 2009 with primary experience treating adults with serious mental illness. I have additional training, experience and expertise with treating trauma and PTSD and have been an EMDR trained therapist since 2015. I also became a Reiki Master Practitioner in 2016, and I received training from Postpartum International in 2017 to treat mental health issues for women in pregnancy and postpartum. I trained in trauma informed yoga and energy based yoga techniques since 2019.

Client/Person Centered

Uses three conditions in therapy with unconditional positive regard, which means therapists are empathetic and non-judgmental conveying feelings of acceptance, understanding, trust, and confidence that encourage clients to feel valued and to make better decisions and choices and come to their own solutions. Empathy allows clients to feel deeply understood and cared for to foster increased self esteem. Jennifer's Story

As a child, I always had the gift of empathy and a desire to help others and make people feel better, so I grew up to know in my heart that I have a strong purpose in helping others heal. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Social Work in 2004 from New Mexico State University and went on to earn my Masters Degree in Professional Counseling from Ottawa University in Arizona with an advanced certificate in trauma, abuse and deprivation in 2009.
