Trauma/PTSD Therapy

Professional counseling for adults with the following issues: Trauma, PTSD(post traumatic stress disorder), anxiety depression, and more. Specializations in trauma therapy including EMDR and Psychotherapeutic Reiki.

Group Therapy

Mindfulness based groups designed to treat a multitude of mental health issues in a group setting where clients can help and support one another.

 

DBT: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills group where clients learn together the foundational skills for wellness including mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance and skills for interpersonal relationship effectiveness.

Reiki Sessions

A Japanese energy healing technique for stress reduction, relaxation, spiritual healing, and self-improvement, treating the whole person including body, emotions, mind, and spirit.

Trauma Informed Yoga

Specific yoga techniques that help people reduce effects from trauma that address nervous system dysregulation, dissociation, and feelings of disconnection from the body or surroundings with this mind/body approach.

Self-Care for Helping Professionals

Teaching self-care practices, burnout prevention principles, and practices for mental health providers in the community within individual and/or group settings.

Self-Help Book Club

This group meets weekly over two months to explore a self-help book in a group where we read, learn and support each other on how to apply the principles in the book to improve our lives. A different book is chosen every two months covering various empowerment self/help topics.

I AM PASSIONATE ABOUT PROVIDING GENUINE AND COMPASSIONATE HOLISTIC INTERVENTIONS TO HELP ACHIEVE THAT DEEPER HEALING AND RESOLVE THE ROOT CAUSE OF DISTRESS THAT IS OFTEN PAST TRAUMA.

Holistic therapy is a type of therapy that focuses on the “whole” person and integrates physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual forms of well-being. The goal of holistic therapy is to help individuals develop a deeper understanding of themselves on all these levels. You also have the opportunity, if you desire, to experience unique mind/body interventions including Reiki energy healing, yoga, and meditation integrated into your therapy or as stand alone services that enhance your recovery on a deeper level.

THE GOAL IS TO REGAIN AND ENHANCE A SENSE OF PEACE, SAFETY AND GROUNDEDNESS IN YOUR BODY AND SPIRIT.

My approach is also strengths-based and uses positive psychology, meaning we will not only focus on what is wrong but will also discover and build on the strengths that are there to further bring out your potential and resiliency. Positive psychology is a scientific approach to understanding and promoting human strengths and well-being. It focuses on the factors that contribute to happiness, optimism, resilience, and other positive emotions.

I provide all services in your home where you are most comfortable in your own environment. Virtual and in-office sessions are also available as you get to choose what feels best for you.

I am passionate and honored that with 15 years of professional counseling experience with expertise in treating trauma and PTSD, combined with my love of integrating holistic interventions, that I am able to facilitate healing in others where they once felt hopeless and broken. 

 

There is hope. If you are willing and ready for change and the right help and guidance is in place, the change you desire is possible. I have held space for, and provided treatment to, many people and witnessed them heal from years of past trauma and other mental health challenges that once held them down.
