A Calling Shaped by Pain and Purpose
From a young age, I was surrounded by the weight of mental illness. My parents, both carrying their own unhealed wounds, did the best they could. However, the emotional toll shaped me early. As an only child, I became deeply introspective. Without siblings or the usual childhood friendships, I developed a profound relationship with myself and a strong sense of spiritual connection.
My mother told me that angels visited us just days after I was born. She believed I came into this life with a divine purpose—and deep down, I always felt that was true.
But purpose doesn’t always arrive gently. Life introduced me to trauma early on—social anxiety, isolation, feeling “different,” and the internal belief that I wasn’t good enough. Yet even then, I was drawn to others who were hurting. I became the listener, the space-holder, the little therapist trying to ease the pain around me.
The Initiations of Adulthood
Adulthood didn’t ease the intensity. I married young and became a mother at 22. Soon after, I experienced postpartum depression that spiraled into a mental health crisis. My newborn was taken from me in an unjust system that didn’t understand trauma or support. I fought to get her back while finishing my bachelor’s degree in social work. That experience broke me open, but it also revealed a strength I hadn’t yet known. It was my first real initiation into the deeper meaning of healing.
Over the years, I worked with people experiencing serious mental illness, pursued my master’s in counseling, and raised six children—five of whom I birthed naturally at home. I’ve navigated divorce, burnout, emotional entanglement with a partner I tried to save, and later, a devastating relationship with a narcissist that forced me to rebuild my life from the ground up.

And still, I rose.
Each of these experiences taught me that healing is never linear—but it is always possible. I learned to trust my intuition, to embody the very practices I now offer, and to stop abandoning myself in the name of caretaking others. All of the therapies I offer today are tools that helped me on my transformation and continue to be my foundation for continued health, happiness, and peace in my own life.
From Wounded Healer to Empowered Guide
Today, Heart Wisdom Healing is the embodiment of everything I’ve survived and grown through. I offer trauma and PTSD therapy rooted in the belief that healing happens when we work with the whole person—mind, body, spirit, and nervous system.
My approach is integrative and trauma-informed, combining:
EMDR therapy for deep processing and transformation
Somatic practices to restore safety in the body
Reiki and energy healing to support the soul
Trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness to cultivate presence and peace
Spiritual insight to guide clients back to their true self
Core Themes That Shape My Work
From Isolation to Identity
I help clients reconnect with their authentic self after years of feeling disconnected, different, or lost.
Healing through Relationships
Relational trauma runs deep. I support clients in reclaiming their worth, setting boundaries, and healing through self-trust.
Codependency as a Trauma Response
I gently help people recover from the over-giving patterns that often stem from childhood pain and neglect of self.
Embodied Transformation
Cognitive insight alone isn’t enough—we must engage the body, the breath, and the nervous system to fully integrate change.
The Light Worker’s Path
I understand what it’s like to be a sensitive soul drawn to helping others—and the importance of grounding your gifts in self-love and discernment.
What I Believe as a Therapist and Human Being
Healing is always possible.
You already have the wisdom within you to grow and change.
Trauma lives in the body—but so does your power, truth, and light.
When we feel safe, seen, and supported, we begin to transform.
Your pain has purpose—and your story can become your strength.
“I am not what happened to me. I am what I choose to become.”
— Carl Jung
